The finest single malt and grain whiskies are matured for 18 years (or longer) in oak casks and then finish them up in port casks. This creates a magnificent, perfectly balanced Scotch whisky with considerable depth of taste.
The nose is rich and complex with honey, spices and nuts, followed by port notes with a lovely fruitiness. The palate is full of fruit cake, dark honey, manuka and rich, lush port flavours. The finish is silky in the mouth, long, elegant and luxurious.
