Luddite Saboteur Red 2022

Luddite Saboteur Red 2022 is a bold and expressive red blend from the renowned Luddite winery in Bot River, South Africa. This vintage showcases a harmonious combination of 52% Shiraz, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Mourvèdre, and 12% Grenache Noir, reflecting the winery's commitment to crafting wines with depth and character.

The 2022 vintage benefited from cooler weather and good rainfall, resulting in grapes with excellent acidity and freshness. Fermentation involved small batches in open bins, with some experimentation using stalks to enhance freshness and balance the dark fruit profile. After fermentation, the wine was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, with 10% being new oak, to add complexity and structure.

Tasting Notes:

Appearance: Ruby red hue.

Nose: Inviting aromas of ripe cherry, cinnamon, and mulberry tart, complemented by a hint of toastiness.

Palate: Juicy red fruit entry with a touch of sweetness, leading to a long, balanced finish with lingering dark fruit notes.

Best Enjoyed: Pair with grilled meats, hearty stews, or aged cheeses to complement the wine's robust character.

All orders are shipped from our central warehouse located in Montague Gardens, Western Cape. Local orders are usually delivered in 0-2 working days. Orders outside of Cape Town but within SA are generally delivered within 2-5 working days. If you require expedited shipping, please feel free to contact us for a quote on Overnight Delivery, which typically takes 1-3 working days, depending on your area.

While we strive for timely deliveries, there are occasional instances where delays may occur. These are rare but can happen due to unforeseen circumstances.

Delivery Rates:

At checkout, you will be presented with shipping options and corresponding rates. These rates are provided directly by our courier partners and are displayed as is. On rare occasions, a courier may generate an incorrect delivery rate due to issues with the address recognition. In such cases, we will arrange for an alternative courier to ship your order at a similar rate to the original cost.

We believe in offering transparency in our delivery fees and, as such, do not include any delivery costs in our product pricing. We do not profit from delivery fees.

Third-Party Couriers:

For the majority of our orders, we rely on third-party courier services for delivery. Regular notifications will be sent and on the day of delivery the couriers will notify you via sms, call or email . If the courier is unable to reach you, we will get in touch with you to arrange an alternative solution.
