McConnell's Sherry Cask
The Belfast Distillery Company are excited to share an opportunity for South African whisky enthusiasts to visit their iconic distillery in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Home of the multiple award-winning McConnell’s Irish Whisky brand. This competition is exclusive to South Africa and offers a chance for two consumers to win a 4-day trip for 2 to Belfast. Here they will visit the newly opened state-of-the-art distillery and meet the team behind the restoration of the iconic McConnell’s brand.
The trip includes:
– Return flights for two from South Africa to Belfast, Northern Ireland.
– 2 nights’ accommodation in 4-star hotel in Belfast including breakfast.
– Private tour of the McConnell’s distillery including a Whisky tasting experience.
– Evening food tasting tour in Belfast city centre – 3 course dinner and drinks at a Belfast restaurant.
How to enter the competition:
Purchase a bottle of the McConnell’s Irish Whisky! Scan the QR code on the bottle neck collar, enter your unique code, contact details and upload your order confirmation mail(make sure the order number is visible).
The competition runs from 1st July to 30th September 2024.
The winner will be announced by the end of October 2024. The competition is open to South African residents older than 18 years.

Inspired by the historical McConnell's blend founded in Belfast, Ireland in 1776, McConnell’s Sherry Cask is a blend of Irish malt and grain whiskeys.
Matured for 5 years, first in handpicked 1st-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in ex-Oloroso sherry casks for approximately 6 months.
Nose: Dried figs and currants followed by Christmas spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon, dark chocolate, and a hint of fresh leather.
Palate: Demerara sugar, dark ripe cherries and black raspberry followed by bitter dark chocolate shavings and rich red apples.
Finish: Lingering oak notes, with a hint of leather and subtle clove spice.
Bottle Size: 750ml

For Delivery within SA:
All orders are shipped out from our one central warehouse in Montague Gardens in the Western Cape. Local Orders generally take 0-2 working days, deliveries outside of Cape Town, but withing SA are usually completed within 2 to 5 working days.
You will see different shipping rates at checkout. These rates are based on the products in your cart as well as your exact delivery address.
For out of Cape Town orders If the weight exceeds 25kg's there will be an excess delivery charge. We will notify you first before any excess charge is applied. If you wish to know the cost prior to placing your order please contact us.
If there is something wrong with your product we will refund the full 100% back to you.
If you placed an order and would like to cancel you can email info@mothercityliquor.co.za and we will assist with the cancellation process.
Cancellations have a small fee of 10% due to the transaction fees we incur on each order.
If an order has already been sent out to you the shipping fee is not refundable.

If something is wrong with the product you are able to return it to us.
If you'd like to return an item all you need to do is email us at info@mothercityliquor.co.za and we will assist with the return process.
Our returns policy lasts 7 working days. If 7 working days have gone by since delivery of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
The only types of goods are exempt from being returned are our Gift cards.
Sale/Special items:
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale/special items cannot be refunded.
