We ship nationwide across South Africa and internationally.

South AfricaDelivery in Cape Town takes 1 to 3 working days on average, and sometimes arrives the same day. Main centres outside Cape Town typically take 2 to 5 working days. Outlying areas can take a little longer depending on where our courier partners' depots are situated, and some outlying areas are only serviced once a week.

Delays can occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as strikes, protests, or road closures. If this affects your order, we will let you know by email or phone as soon as possible. We recommend keeping an eye on your tracking number for the latest status.

InternationalInternational shipping usually takes 5 to 9 working days, though occasional delays do happen in certain countries. Once your parcel arrives in your country, excise duties and taxes are payable before local customs release your order. Rates depend on weight and destination.

Our system pulls live rates from various couriers based on the weight of your order and your exact delivery address, so pricing is transparent and shown at checkout. We do not build shipping costs into our product pricing, and we do not profit from delivery fees.

Orders of R2,500 or more qualify for free shipping, provided the order weighs under 25kg.

If your order qualifies for express delivery, that option will appear at checkout too.

Orders over 25kg (roughly one case of beer or cider is 12kg) may carry a surcharge. We will contact you before any additional charge is applied.

You pay your way. We use a secure third party payment gateway, Stich Payments, so no payment details are stored on our systems.

At checkout you can pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa or Mastercard credit and debit cards, PayJustNow, or Zapper, including crypto through the Zapper wallet.

If there is a problem with your product, we will refund you in full once the item is back at our warehouse. Return shipping is for the customer's account, and collection can be arranged by either you or us.

If you would like to cancel an order, email info@mothercityliquor.co.za or call 021 569 3746 and we will assist. Cancellations carry a 10% handling fee to cover the transaction costs we incur on every order.

Yes, collection is available as an option at checkout.

Our main focus is still on delivery, so collections take 1 to 2 working days to pick, pack, and prepare. You will be notified once your order is ready.

Collection hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. We are closed on weekends and public holidays.
