With its dark and juicy fruit and silky tannins, this easygoing and unpretentious red is excellent company no matter the night of the week. Although it plays nice with most red meats (sweet and sticky pulled pork anyone?!) we love it with bobotie and other Cape Malay-style curries.
Beautiful perfumed notes of black cherry, forest berries and subtle allspice lead to a smooth, rounded mid-palate with balanced acidity and a lingering, fruity aftertaste.
Serve with grilled lamb chops or burgers with caramelised onions, mushroom risotto or mildly spiced vegetable curry.
